College extends registration for Community ESL courses

English as a Second Language (ESL) fall courses have started up this week at the Community College of Aurora, but it’s not too late to register!

The Aurora Language Center at CCA will offer two special late registration times for prospective students next week: at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, on the Lowry Campus, North Quad Building (#901), Room 105, 9202 E. Severn Place, Denver, CO 80230. Interested individuals must go to the Center to take a placement test and register for the class. The test will take approximately two hours, and cash or check for $100 is due on registration day.

Numerous levels of non-credit English instruction are available, from beginning to advanced, for adults 18 and older. Classes are now under way and run until Oct. 8.

Classes will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the mornings (9:30-11:30) or evenings (6:30-8:30), on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (12:30-2:30), and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The cost covers the 8-week session, and there is a 10% discount for the afternoon classes. The cost includes eligibility to participate in free computer classes.
