AURORA, Colo. – Richard Maestas, CCA’s vice president of administrative services and the school’s chief financial officer, has been named to the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory board, Gov. John Hickenlooper announced this week.
Hickenlooper cited Maestas’ background in public budgeting and finance in making the appointment.
The board Maestas joins establishes guidelines for the administration of the Accelerating Students Through Concurrent Enrollment program and advises and assists local education providers and institutions of higher education in preparing cooperative agreements.
Maestas’ term will expire July 1, 2015.
Maestas joined CCA in July ‘09 and has core fiscal responsibilities in compliance, budgeting and accounting. He also oversees the administrative services area that encompasses information technology, facilities, security, grants, financial reporting, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, cashiering and student accounts.
