Sept. 13, 2018 – Aurora, CO – Ana Martin-Mejia has been named Associate Dean for the School of Liberal Arts at the Community College of Aurora (CCA).
“We are very fortunate to have Ms. Martin-Mejia step into this role,” said Tricia Johnson, Vice President of Academic Affairs. ”Her commitment to academic excellence and student success will make her successful as she helps them realize their potential during their college career and beyond.”
Martin-Mejia has been an academic chair of various departments at CCA since 2013. As Associate Dean, she will be responsible for sharing responsibility for the day-to-day and long-term management of the School of Liberal Arts, support the Dean and Chairs on the development and implementation of various initiatives, procedures, and processes related to enrollment management, student success, retention, and completion, as well as participating on college-wide committees.
She holds a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (Spain) in addition to master’s studies in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid, Spain).
