CentreTech Parkway, Aurora, CO. Learn how one woman ignited the civil rights movement by refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. National Humanities and Chautauqua Scholar Becky Stone will portray Rosa Parks.

Actress Becky Stone will bring Rosa Parks to life during this performance in a Chautauqua-style presentation, speaking as the civil rights figure and then answering questions. Stone was a counselor in the Philadelphia school system 40 years ago. She researches the characters she portrays in-depth, using autobiographies, biographies, interviews, and magazine articles. This is Stone’s fourth visit to Colorado.
