Tamara D. White Named Associate Vice President for Student Affairs

April 10, 2018 – Aurora, CO – Tamara D. White, Dean of Students at the Community College of Aurora, has been named Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.“It is a pleasure to support Ms. White during this next step of her career,” said Dr. Paulette Dalpes, Vice President for Student Affairs. “She has provided outstanding leadership and service to our students and we are confident she will continue to meet their needs.” 

As Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, White will continue to provide leadership for several departments, programs, and campus-wide initiatives to support CCA students, including the college’s Guided Pathways initiative. “I am excited to continue my passion for student achievement in support of the college’s mission to help every student succeed at CCA,” said White.

Ms. White joined CCA in 2014 with extensive experience in higher education. Prior to CCA, she was Director of Admission and Access Policy with the Colorado Department of Higher Education and also served as Education Policy Advisor in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Colorado.

Ms. White earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver and a master’s degree in higher education from Western Illinois University. She is currently completing her doctorate in higher education with a focus on diversity in higher education at the University of Denver.
