The Community College of Aurora will host its second annual transfer fair Nov. 13 on both its campuses, giving numerous Aurora Public Schools students a glimpse at the overall college experience and presenting current CCA attendees various transfer options at four-year institutions.
A host of universities will be on hand to present the programs that make them unique, including: University of Denver; Adams State University; Johnson and Wales University; Northern Colorado; Columbia College; Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design; Regis University; Fort Lewis College; University of Colorado; Colorado State University; Metropolitan State University of Denver; University of Phoenix; Colorado Christian University; and Colorado Technical University.
Institutions will be on hand from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., first presenting information to about 200 students from Hinkley, Rangeview, Aurora Central and Gateway high schools. Those same seniors also will be given a glimpse at why CCA can potentially serve as a bridge to a four-year college.
CCA students already enrolled can talk to representatives from the four-year schools either at the Centre Tech Rotunda in the Student Centre (Noon-2:30 p.m.) or in the Todd Bergren Room at the Lowry West Quad (3-5:30 p.m.).
The main goal for current CCA attendees is to help them find a four-year college that fits their major goals after completing a two-year degree, then transferring.
