Vice President for Student Affairs Receives NASPA Pillars of the Profession Award

Paulette DalpesDr. Paulette Dalpes, vice president of Student Affairs, was selected as a member of the NASPA Class of 2018 Pillars of the Profession. NASPA is the leading association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs profession.

The Pillars Award recognizes sustained professional distinction in the higher-education field, as well as leadership service to NASPA. Dr. Dalpes has worked for more than 30 years as a student affairs professional, including 18 years at community colleges. Her career includes senior level and systems administration; facilitating federally funded TRiO grant programs; training and development on issues of diversity and inclusion; and work in residential life at large universities.

“I am very grateful for this award and I am especially honored to represent community colleges as a recipient. I stand on the shoulders of incredible mentors who have been pillars to me. I extend my gratitude to them for this recognition,” Paulette said about the honor.

 “This is a very prestigious award and a testament to Dr. Dalpes’ leadership and accomplishments as a student affairs professional at both the local and national level,” said Betsy Oudenhoven, CCA’s president. “This recognition is just one more confirmation of how lucky we are that she decided to join us at CCA.”
