Martin Luther King Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King's vision of a Beloved Community.
Join the Office of Student Life on Friday, February 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as we partner with the Food Bank of the Rockies, which aims to provide food to low-wage workers, children, seniors on fixed incomes, and individuals with health issues.
Volunteers will help pull and build orders in the warehouse; duties include inspecting, cleaning, sorting and repacking perishable and non-perishable grocery items for distribution; and assisting partner agencies with loading. Most areas require the ability to move freely and lift up to 30 pounds.
Every member who wishes to volunteer must complete the signup form and complete the necessary information in order to successfully register for this event. Deadline to sign up for this volunteer opportunity is Friday, January 18. Spots are limited!
We kindly request that persons who require reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this event contact the Office of Disability and Equity with any questions or to request accommodations: ODE.CCA@ccaurora.edu, 303-340-7548.
