Redhorse Corporation has an opening for an Acquisition/Contract Assistant on a task with the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The Acquisition/Contract Assistant will perform a variety of tasks associated with accomplishing and delivering documentation associated with federal contract administration, both pre- and post-award. The Acquisition/Contract Assistant will require extensive working knowledge of all phases of acquisition management; extensive working knowledge of federal contracting principles (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), federal acquisition directives and instructions, laws, regulations and procedures); working knowledge of the methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems; familiarity with price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position; and performance of tasks related to the above knowledge while being monitored closely by a supervisor or senior employee to ensure compliance with proper procedures.
Positions Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting government personnel in support of preparation of documentation associated with contracting action packages Inputting accurate and appropriate information into automated contracting systems Processing contract files for closeout activities and prepare for review and approval by government personnel Assisting with other contractual actions required to ensure overall management of contracts in a timely, accurate and effective manner in compliance with FAR and agency specific policies, processes and procedures
Basic requirements for Experience, Skills, Education and Credentials include:
High School Diploma or its equivalent
A minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods or organizations from an accredited, degree-granting institution.
Two (2) years of direct Federal Procurement experience in GS-1102 (or similar) capacity
The work environment for this position requires an individual to be able to:

SUMMARY: Persons in this job will provide tier 1 technology support to district staff and students (clients). Within the ITS department, these persons will assist Technologist II and Technician III personnel as needed. Support consists of installing technology equipment and upgrades, troubleshooting, and resolving technical operational problems. This position interacts with district employees and students daily to provide positive customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
● Provide excellent customer service to clients. Clients include all district students, staff, administrators, and community members.
● Troubleshoot/support/repair district equipment, operating system software, and network software connected to LAN/WAN and perform basic device maintenance, software updates, and device imaging.
● Travel to and from district locations in response to service requests. Verify district vehicle is safe and in good operating condition.
● Provide tier 1 support to clients regarding technology related problems/questions as well as providing technical advice and basic how-to instruction.
● Provide support to clients via email/service request system, remote tools, telephone, and in person by traveling to multiple district sites on a daily basis.
● Participate in structured technical education for ITS personnel.
● Install computer hardware, software and peripherals. This may involve moving, packing and unpacking equipment from one location to another within a facility or district.
● Maintain communications for technology support by providing appropriate ongoing updates to site staff regarding submitted service requests, ongoing projects, and meetings.
● Monitor and update service requests daily. Notify Technologist II/III of any escalated service requests that require attention.
● Assist Technologist II/III to provide technology configuration options to clients including pricing and information about compatibility, inventory, purchasing, and implementation logistics.
● Assist senior staff with planning of daily work assignment distribution.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Current technical certification such as Network+, A+, Apple and/or other relevant certification preferred.
Work is self-directed. This position requires application of position knowledge to efficiently prioritize tasks, make complex decisions and remain confidential with information accessed from network privileges and follow departmental guidelines. Work is guided by Thompson School District policies and procedures. Decision-making may require collaboration with help desk, technical repair personnel, system engineers, instructional technologist, media specialist, phone specialist, TOSA and technology committees. Supervisor is involved only in major decisions.

This is a full-time regular position with benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 depending on experience.  Medical, dental and life benefits are available on the 1st of the month after working 60 days.  Some evenings and weekend hours may be required for youth corps related functions.
