As accounting and reporting guidelines have become stricter in the U.S. due to corporate scandals the demand for accountants has only increased. A student who obtains a Full Charge Bookkeeping certificate from the Community College of Aurora will demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Understand the roles and duties of a professional bookkeeper.
  • Understand double entry bookkeeping.
  • Know how to produce and manage financial records.
  • Understand payroll, sales, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Be prepared to communicate in a professional setting, written and verbal.
