The Emergency Medical Services Training Program at CCA is your first step to becoming an EMT or Paramedic. EMT's and Paramedics respond to medical and traumatic emergencies and render medical care while transporting patients to definitive care. Paramedics and EMT's, as first responders, are the first step in the Emergency Medical Services system.   • Goal: raise level of filmmaking

    Two dozen esteemed filmmakers from the world’s third-largest producer of content were embedded in an intensive four-week course at the Colorado Film School this spring. Their overarching mission: to raise professional standards for future features in Nigeria – and potentially allow their homeland to compete for international awards.

  • Running Feb. 23-April 10

    CCA's spring art show is entitled "iNDULGE" and will run on weekdays through April 10.

    The works displayed are described by organizers as: "Sinful Craving for the Mind: Delirious. Delightful. Delicious."

    The gallery is located at 9202 E. Severn Place, Denver, CO 80230 (in the Lowry North Quad).

    The show is free and open to the public.

  • Roth tackles the 'Right to Die'

    A Persuasive Speaking Competition for Denver Metro Area community-college students was held May 1 at the Larry D. Carter Theater. The Community College of Aurora's Austin Roth was judged the winner from among the five contestants competing. Roth's speech was entitled, "The Right to Die: Your Choice."

  • College to launch PCT program

    Community College of Aurora has been selected as one of 17 colleges nationally from 90 applicants to participate in the Job Ready, Willing and Able project funded by the Walmart Foundation through the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). 

  • Aurora Symphony tackles Broadway
    2015 Broadway Kids Concert

    The Aurora Symphony Orchestra will be holding its 2015 Broadway Kids production at Community College of Aurora on Feb. 7-8 at the Larry D. Carter Theater on CentreTech Campus (16000 E. CentreTech Parkway, Aurora).

  • Accomplishments are numerous

    After a semester hiatus, Community College of Aurora’s Student Government Association (SGA) came back strong and delivered numerous accomplishments under its executive leadership team.

  • First six recipients are identified

    The Community College of Aurora Foundation has launched a new scholarship funding initiative allowing participating students to graduate from the college debt-free, an approach born from mounting student loan debt nationwide that’s hit $1.2 trillion.

  • RockOn! ends in suborbital launch

    Five CCA students have been selected by the Colorado Space Grant Consortium to represent the college at the NASA RockOn! Workshop from June 20-25 at the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
