Better Together--CCA's interfaith and intercultural club--is pleased to host the third-annual Thank You America! campaign.

The campaign will showcase the integration and inclusion of immigrants into the heart and life of the city of Aurora while celebrating their diversity, as well as highlight America's tradition of embracing immigration, recognizing its contribution to the prosperity of our country.

Cultural Celebration
Monday, March 5, 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
The Rotunda, Student Centre Building, Centretech Campus 

Celebrate diversity on our campus with music, theater, art and food!  The campaign’s kick-off event will highlight the economic and cultural contributions of immigrants in our community while bringing awareness to manifestations of hate and extremism toward minority groups.

Wednesday, March 7, 1:00 – 2:15 p.m.

Meet immigrant community members from different religious and non-religious traditions, hear their stories, learn what they believe and, most importantly, why their faith values motivate them to participate in interfaith cooperation. 

Business Spotlight
Monday, March 12, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Todd Bergren Room, West Quad Building, Lowry Campus

Immigrant business owners will share their experience and personal story of success, drawing attention to the unique economic contribution immigrants have on the economy.

Annual Immigrant Celebration and Recognition Event
Thursday, March 15, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Aurora City Hall Council Chambers

This evening is an acknowledgement and a celebration of the many contributions of immigrants to the prosperity of our country. In addition, three individuals will be recognized for their great support and instrumental work in the welcoming of immigrants to the community. Held in collaboration with the City of Aurora, Office of International and Immigrants Affairs.
