Learning ASL provides students with many career opportunities as they continue mastering American Sign Language and studying Deaf Culture.
Students can pursue careers in Education, Training, and Library Occupations, Social Work, and Interpreting/Translating, among other exciting opportunites that incoporate American Sign Language/Deaf Studies.
Community College of Aurora's ASL courses are part of the Interpreter Preparation Program curriculum at Front Range Community College and Pikes Peak Community College, which provide students with in-depth study of ASL through Associate's level coursework.
Students can pursue further education at the Bachelor's and Master's levels in ASL/Deaf Studies by graduating from the Colorado Community College System and transferring to at a variety of top institutions including University Of Northern Colorado, Gallaudet University, Sacramento State, Maryville College, Townson University, Northeastern University, and Boston University, among others.
