Fall 2017 CCA Student Success Center Programming

Through the Transfer Success Program (TSP - Located in the Student Centre #101) CCA students have access to campus visits, 1-1 appointments with our top 4-year transfer institutions, workshops and 1-1 advising assistance.  Take advantage of every opportunity you have to ensure your successful transfer and the completion of your academic goals.

Campus Visits

Take advantage of CCA visit days to ensure that the college or university of your choice is a good fit for you.  When it comes to getting a feel for a university or college, nothing compares to actually exploring a campus with students, talking to faculty and experiencing the environment of the campus first hand. We offer many campus visits throughout the year. Seating for each visit is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. To sign up please see the Transfer Events web page.

Charm School

Charm School is a professional development workshop series designed to assist students with developing professional skills that can be utilized at work and in school. This semester's series will focus on identifying your individual strengths and how you can use them to reach your career and academic goals. After learning about your individual strengths, students will have an opportunity to learn and practice networking skills and complete mock interviews. From these workshops students will be able to learn more about themselves and how to translate that to the world.  Check back later this fall for our next Charm School dates.

Student Success Workshops

These workshops assist students in transitioning into becoming excellent and confident students in higher education. The topics vary each semester and some are available as an online activity through D2L for TRiO SSS students.

myQuest: Powerful Partnerships and Complementary Strengths- What makes a great partnership? How can you ensure the success of your group? This session will review elements of powerful partnerships and explore how strengths impact group dynamics. Through group discussion students will explore how to identify complementary strengths and establish powerful partnerships.

RAPID Registration

RAPID Registration is a series of dates when Student Success Center students can sign up for a lab time to come in and get assistance with registration for the upcoming semester. This is required for all TRIO SSS and TRIO SSS-ESL students as a hold is placed on students accounts preventing registration without attending this event. Spring 2018 registration begins November 6, 2017.
