African Student Union (ASU)

Mission:

The African Student Union Club (ASU) at the Community College of Aurora has a goal to generate a club able to cultivate an inner environment capable of dealing with many obstacles many African students may face. It is our mission to conduct various discussions regarding the African related culture and other objectives of higher education. We encourage English as a second language (ESL) students to join the club because the dialogue and fellowship would improve the sense of listening skills that will build confidence as they learn how to express themselves in and out of school. Our leaders will strive to provide a club where we promote education, culture, diversity, history, entertainment, achievement, social and personal issues and series of group events throughout each semester.
