How to Embed a Video in D2L

Step 1: Search the Library Catalog

Step 2: Search the Aurora Public Library Catalog

  • Requires an Aurora Public Library Card (available at Library Service Desk)
  • Use your Aurora Public Library Card to request the item. How to Request an item
  • The item will be delivered to The Locker
  • You will receive a notification email

Step 3: Search Prospector

  • Prospector is a shared catalog of multiple Colorado Academic Libraries
  • Requires an Aurora Public Library Card (available at Library Service Desk)
  • Select “Alliance – Aurora Public Library” as your institution
  • Select “Community College of Aurora” as your pickup location
  • The item will be delivered to The Locker
  • You will receive a notification email

Step 4: Search SWIFT ZPORTAL

  • You can request items from virtually all libraries in Colorado
  • Select libraries to search in Current Profile (e.g. Academic Libraries or All Libraries)
  • Enter Search Terms
  • Select "Get It" once you have found what you are looking for
  • Enter your Library Card Number : 21278 + your S# (e.g. 21278S12345678)
  • Enter Last Name (ALL CAPS) or PIN : the last 4 digits of your S#
  • Select Your Library : Community College of Aurora
  • Click Login
  • Click Request
  • You will be notified by email when items are avaialable for pickup at The Library (CentreTech Campus)
  • Signup to get library notifications by text

Use The LOCKER to pick up materials from Aurora Public Library and through Prospector--a group of academic and public libraries across Colorado.

The Locker is located on the first floor of the Student Center next to the Café.

Step 1: Search the Library Catalog

  • Select the eBook icon at the top of the search results.
  • Click the "Access Online" button when you have found a book you would like to read.
  • eBooks are available from 2 companies:
  • EBSCO eBooks (CCA) are all academic books.  The Access Online button will open a new window.  Enter Your S# to read them online or you can download them to an app.
  • Cloud Library (mostly non-academic) books will open in a new window. You must download an app to use them.

  • Download the Cloud Library for eBooks through the catalog
  • To login to Cloud Library, use 21278 followed by your S# for your library barcode (e.g. 21278S12345678)
  • Use the last 4 digits of your S# for the password

Films on Demand provides 24/7 access to thousands of documentaries, educational films and news reels in a wide varietyof disciplines. Most videos are close-captioned.
